Your final scheduling notes and proposal take priority; this guide helps you know what to expect.
Arrange access and alternate facilities
Share parking, keys or codes, building rules, permitted hours, and a day-of contact. Keep delivery routes clear, arrange another bathroom or kitchen where needed, and keep children and pets away from the work area.
Describe the existing floor and water history
Report leaks, damaged layers, previous coverings, and unknown older flooring or black adhesive. Do not sand, scrape, drill, or mechanically disturb unidentified material before evaluation. Confirm how concealed preparation will be approved.
Follow storage and room-condition instructions
Provide the conditions, material storage, and any adjustment time required by the exact sheet and attachment system. Coordinate these requirements with other trades before the installation date.
Plan the return to normal use
Confirm when walking, cleaning, furniture, and appliances may return. Agree on door and trim responsibilities and the protection needed during remaining work. Follow the installed system's restrictions rather than a schedule borrowed from another vinyl product.
