Clear counters and assign responsibilities
Remove small appliances, utensils, wall decorations and fragile items. Confirm protection of counters and cabinets, old-surface removal, debris handling and any appliance movement.
Coordinate electrical and appliance work
Arrange outlet or device changes through the appropriate licensed trade. Confirm range clearances, appliance access and the sequence before tile work begins.
Arrange safe access and staging
Confirm parking, keys or codes, building rules, work hours, a day-of contact and routes for materials and cutting. Keep people and pets outside active work areas.
Plan kitchen downtime
Counters and cooking areas may be unavailable while tile and joints cure. Follow the job-specific return-to-use instructions and reserve matching extra material for future changes.
