Arrange access and separate the work area
Share parking, keys or codes, building rules, permitted hours, and a day-of contact. Keep access routes open and provide another area for children and pets. Plan access to adjoining rooms while work and finishing proceed.
Share moisture and heating details
Describe leaks, dampness, seasonal room conditions, and recent wet construction. Provide radiant-heating details and any building sound requirements. Confirm how concealed repairs or additional preparation will be approved.
Follow the conditioning plan
Operate climate control and follow the exact storage, packaging, temperature, humidity, and acclimation instructions. There is no universal number of days; bonded and floating products can differ. Coordinate radiant-heat startup and shutdown with the required installation conditions.
Allow for finishing and return to use
Agree on ventilation, protection during later work, and responsibility for trim or door adjustments. Confirm when walking, rolling chairs, furniture, rugs, and cleaning are allowed; arrange the room around the longest applicable adhesive or coating restriction.
