A little planning helps the work start smoothly, keeps the site safer, and protects the finished result.
Preparation checklist
Your final scheduling notes and proposal take priority; this guide helps you know what to expect.
Remove loose items and fragile objects. Identify machines, racks, connected equipment, heavy furniture, and any disassembly needs. Agree who moves and resets them, handles old-floor removal, and protects the route.
Share parking, codes, loading and elevator rules, permitted hours, and a day-of contact. Keep people and pets out of the work area and coordinate any business phasing or neighboring trades.
Share water history, existing-floor details, equipment loads, and specified sound, impact, or static-control requirements. Confirm how concealed preparation and any specialist coordination will be priced and approved.
Provide the specified storage and operating climate. Some rolls need time to relax unrolled; acclimation is not simply an overnight wait. Report large temperature swings, intense sun, or intermittent heating before fitting.
Confirm restrictions on walking, rolling equipment, cleaning, and furniture placement. Coordinate initial cleaning, later construction protection, written care instructions, and any agreed system testing before reopening the space.
