Core project elements
Final scope depends on the material, site conditions, and proposal, but these are the central parts of the work. None of the listed systems or supporting services is automatically included in every job.
We confirm the exact LVP or LVT product, room and traffic approval, and permitted click, glue-down, or loose-lay method. A rigid core, attached pad, or waterproof claim does not replace the full installation instructions.
Review cleanliness, dryness, stability, and the exact product's flatness tolerance. Flat and level differ: a floor can slope evenly or appear level while containing humps. Thin glue-down material may reveal bumps and texture; unsupported click edges can be strained. Moisture protection, substrate, adhesive, pad, seams, and room edges each have their own requirements. A waterproof surface does not protect the whole room or floor below.
Any floor left beneath the new material must be secure and approved for covering. Review existing layers, repair materials, adhesive or underlayment, and the resulting height at doors, appliances, cabinets, stairs, and adjoining rooms. Unidentified older vinyl flooring or glue must be assessed before sanding, scraping, drilling, or removal.
Plan direction, starting lines, color variation, repeated printed faces, plank stagger or tile pattern, and visible cuts. Cut, fit, connect, or adhere the flooring using the specified method. Protect locking edges and use only the pad, moisture-control layer, and adhesive allowed for the complete system.
Floating floors need their specified space at walls, penetrations, fixed cabinets, islands, and other permanent loads. Review long areas, connected rooms, and transition breaks before fitting. The installation sequence must preserve movement rather than trap the field beneath fixtures or trim.
Complete agreed doorway, vent, perimeter, stair, and adjoining-surface details with profiles suited to height and movement. Glue-down systems follow their adhesive traffic and rolling-load restrictions before normal use.

We'll review visible conditions and document the agreed work. Hidden or changed conditions are handled separately instead of being silently assumed.
Review the product, pattern and printed-face blend, cuts, joined edges, doorways, vents, transitions, and agreed furniture reset. Report loose or damaged areas. Confirm adhesive restrictions, access to appliances, care and warranty information, and any additional work against the proposal.
