Sometimes, when the existing sheet vinyl is secure and the surface is clean, dry, flat, stable, and compatible with the selected flooring system. For this Meriden kitchen, the existing sheet vinyl remained over the concrete slab because the surface was sufficiently flat for the floating installation. The verified scope required no patching or leveling.

Floors Now removed and reinstalled 30 linear feet of existing baseboard, installed 32 linear feet of new primed quarter-round, and completed the adjoining edges with one T-molding and one threshold. Scheduling may be available depending on crew availability, building access, project size, preparation requirements, and the adhesive system. The schedule should also account for ventilation, curing, furniture replacement, and when the space can safely return to normal use.
The substrate must be clean, dry, stable, smooth, and suitable for the specified carpet and adhesive. Removal may reveal adhesive residue, cracks, low areas, or damaged patches that need correction before installation.
