Meriden flooring FAQ

Questions to settle before installation day.

Can office furniture be moved during a commercial carpet replacement?

Furniture coordination may be included in the agreed scope, but it should be planned before installation. Contents, electronics, fragile items, file storage, workstations, and the sequence for clearing each area can affect access, seams, scheduling, and when furniture may be returned.

Can commercial carpet installation be scheduled after hours or on weekends?

Scheduling may be available depending on crew availability, building access, project size, preparation requirements, and the adhesive system. The schedule should also account for ventilation, curing, furniture replacement, and when the space can safely return to normal use.

What preparation does glue-down commercial carpet require?

The substrate must be clean, dry, stable, smooth, and suitable for the specified carpet and adhesive. Removal may reveal adhesive residue, cracks, low areas, or damaged patches that need correction before installation.

When can a room be used after glue-down carpet is installed?

Return-to-service timing depends on the adhesive, substrate, temperature, humidity, ventilation, and manufacturer requirements. Foot traffic, rolling loads, cleaning, and furniture replacement should follow the installation plan rather than a universal waiting period.
