Karndean Brunella Marble Rigid-Core LVT Kitchen Installation

The goal, materials, and finished scope.

In August 2026, Floors Now completed a half-day residential kitchen flooring project in Meriden using Karndean Korlok Select Brunella Marble RKT3013-G. The 18-by-24-inch rigid-core luxury vinyl tile was installed as a floating floor over the existing sheet vinyl on the concrete slab after the surface was found sufficiently flat for the selected system. Floors Now supplied 157 square feet of material; that figure represents supplied material rather than the exact installed coverage. The coordinated scope also included moving and resetting two appliances, removing and reinstalling 30 linear feet of existing baseboard, installing 32 linear feet of new primed quarter-round, and completing the adjoining edges with one T-molding and one threshold.

Scope of work

A half-day floating LVT installation over retained sheet vinyl, with appliance, molding, and transition work.

• Reviewed the existing sheet vinyl over the concrete slab and retained it because the surface was sufficiently flat for the selected floating floor
• Completed the verified flooring scope without patching, leveling, or other additional surface preparation
• Supplied 157 square feet of Karndean Korlok Select Brunella Marble RKT3013-G material
• Installed the 18-by-24-inch rigid-core luxury vinyl tile as a floating kitchen floor
• Moved and reset two appliances as part of the flooring work
• Removed and reinstalled 30 linear feet of existing baseboard molding
• Installed 32 linear feet of new primed quarter-round
• Finished the adjoining edges with one T-molding and one threshold
• Completed the project in half a day
