The problem
This Windsor home needed new flooring across its main living areas, bedrooms, and halls — and not all rooms get the same floor. The living room, dining room, den, and downstairs hall received Karndean Knight Tile Locking Honey Limed Oak click LVP, the wood-look floating floor suited to the traffic and daily wear of living spaces. The primary bedroom, two additional bedrooms, and upstairs hall got DreamWeaver Starstruck carpet in Iron Frost with new pad, where comfort underfoot matters more. Click LVP locks together and floats over foam underlayment, so the hard-surface areas needed subfloor leveling with PROMA Pro Patch — locking joints stay tight only on a flat substrate.
The logistics were the second half of the scope: the existing carpet was removed and disposed of, furniture was moved through both portions of the project, and the finish details — 256 linear feet of primed quarter-round, six reducers, and one end cap — were installed so the two flooring systems meet the walls and each other cleanly. The supplied material quantities were 1,004 square feet of LVP and 1,032 square feet of carpet, which included planned installation waste rather than measuring the finished floor area.
The question was whether a two-material, whole-home update had to stretch across weeks of disruption, or whether one coordinated crew could carry it. The answer was one workday: removal, preparation, both flooring systems, furniture handling, and finish work were coordinated in a single visit.

In August 2026, Floors Now completed a large one-day flooring update in a Windsor home. The living room, dining room, den, and downstairs hall received Karndean Knight Tile Locking Honey Limed Oak click LVP over foam underlayment. DreamWeaver Starstruck carpet in Iron Frost with new pad was installed in the primary bedroom, two additional bedrooms, and upstairs hall. The supplied material quantities, including planned waste, were 1,004 square feet of LVP and 1,032 square feet of carpet.
