The problem
This Vernon home was being prepared for sale, and the connective spaces were due for a refresh: the 12-step staircase, the hallway, and the guest bedroom. Stairs and hallways carry constant foot traffic and read as dated long before the rooms they connect, so refreshing them updates the feel of the whole home. The 31-inch Ancient Garden runners in Soft Grey were fitted to the stairs with the waterfall method, where the carpet follows across each tread and drops toward the next riser.
The hallway received the same Soft Grey runner with serged edge finishing for a clean border, and the guest bedroom got full new carpet — Engineered Floors Trendsetter II in Sageview — after the old carpet was removed.
The refresh was scheduled ahead of the listing. All three areas were completed in a single four-hour visit, and the home moved ahead to its listing with the stairs, hallway, and guest bedroom refreshed.

In August 2026, Floors Now completed a coordinated four-hour carpet and runner project in a Vernon home being prepared for sale. After removing the old carpet from the guest bedroom, the team installed Engineered Floors Trendsetter II in Sageview. The same visit included 31-inch Ancient Garden runners in Soft Grey across 12 stairs and the hallway. The stair runner was fitted using the waterfall method, and the hallway runner received serged edge finishing. The finished work refreshed all three areas ahead of the planned move and home listing.
