LVP, Carpet & Carpet Tile Installation in Newington, Connecticut

The project used Karndean Art Select Cotton Oak locking luxury vinyl plank. The scope included 323 square feet of LVP installation, removal and disposal of 293 square feet of carpet, Planiprep SC skim-coat preparation, 12 LVP stair treads, furniture moving, baseboard removal and reinstallation, and transitions. The living room floor used a locking installation without flooring adhesive.

The August 2026 residential project used Philadelphia Profusion 26 (54969) in Bundle in the sunroom and Engineered Floors Pinpoint in Fieldcrest in the hallway and on the main stairs. The work included old carpet removal and disposal, new padding, and a bound runner on 13 stairs. Floors Now completed the project in one day for returning homeowners who wanted durable, good-looking carpet.

The project replaced carpet in two bedrooms and on the stairs with NRF SP4000 Sandy Beach. Floors Now moved the furniture, removed and disposed of the old carpet, and installed about 690 square feet of new carpet and padding.

The main installation team moved and later reset the large carpet-sample displays, removed and disposed of the old gray carpet tile, removed some old adhesive, completed skim-coat patching, and installed approximately 180 square feet of Philadelphia Commercial Profusion carpet tile in Bundle. The project took four hours.

Yes. Floors Now remained open while the main installation team completed the showroom project in four hours. Whether another occupied commercial space can remain open depends on access, safety, removal, preparation, installation materials, curing requirements, and how customers or employees move around the work area.

Display moving can be included when the size, contents, clearances, work sequence, and responsibility for moving and resetting each piece are confirmed in advance. For this project, the Floors Now installation team moved and reset the large carpet-sample displays around the flooring work.

After the old gray carpet tile was removed, the team removed some of the old adhesive and used skim-coat patching before installing the new carpet tile. Preparation requirements vary with the condition revealed after removal and the selected flooring system.

For a typical stretch-in carpet replacement, new compatible cushion is normally installed. Existing padding may be compressed, damaged, contaminated, or incompatible with the new carpet. The August 2026 sunroom, hallway, and stair runner project and the September 2026 bedroom and stair project in Newington both included new carpet pad.
