In August 2026, Floors Now completed a focused engineered-hardwood repair in a Colchester kitchen. A floor receptacle remained visible beside the island because the island did not cover the original cutout. An electrician removed the receptacle before the flooring work began. A smaller patch with filler around its edges was discussed but was not installed. The homeowner instead selected a more involved full-board repair and supplied leftover matching engineered hardwood. Floors Now carefully cut out and removed the complete board containing the former opening, fitted one replacement board, and secured it with adhesive. Replacing a complete board in the center of the finished kitchen floor was detail-sensitive work and took a few hours. The finished work restored a continuous flooring surface at that location, and the homeowner confirmed satisfaction. The brand and species were not documented, and this project record does not imply that the same repair or match is possible for every floor.
