A Plainville homeowner wanted a beautiful new floor quickly for his brand-new first condominium and loved the look of Tarkett ProGen Plus Bespoke Oak Autumn click LVP. Before Floors Now arrived, he removed 533 square feet of carpet and pad himself. Click LVP is a floating floor — the planks lock together rather than gluing down — so what matters most is a flat, stable subfloor. The crew completed three labor hours of leveling with three bags of PROMA Pro Patch and installed no separate underlayment before laying the floor.
The stairs created the phasing question. The ten matching stair treads had to be custom made at the mill, which required an approximately one-month lead time. So Phase 1, completed in August 2026, covered the 523 square feet of installed LVP through two bedrooms, two closets, the hall, and the stair landings — plus both stair-nose details — while the custom treads were scheduled for Phase 2 in September 2026. No riser work was included.
The phased plan let the homeowner move into the finished living spaces quickly instead of waiting on the mill. The crew also removed and reinstalled 180 linear feet of baseboard with coordinating caulking and touchups, and installed one reducer and two T-moldings at the laundry and boiler-room connections. The stairs and the overall two-phase project are not represented as complete until the custom treads go in.

Floors Now then completed Phase 1 in August 2026: three labor hours of leveling with three bags of PROMA Pro Patch, no separate underlayment, and 523 square feet of click/floating LVP installed through two bedrooms, two closets, the hall, and stair landings from 529.69 square feet supplied in 23 cartons. The crew removed and reinstalled 180 linear feet of baseboard, handled related caulking and touchups with coordinating MAPEI Keracaulk Unsanded, installed one reducer and two T-moldings at the laundry and boiler-room connections, and completed both stair noses and the landings without riser work. Ten matching stair treads require custom mill fabrication and an approximately one-month lead time; they remain scheduled for Phase 2 in September 2026. Three 28-ounce tubes of PL 3X construction adhesive are documented for that pending stair scope, not as material consumed during Phase 1. The homeowner is satisfied with the completed first phase and excited to see the custom treads installed. The stairs and overall two-phase project are not represented as complete.
